Toured up to 6,300’ and across all aspects. Above ~ 5,400’, 10cm of new snow (loose and unsolidated) sitting on top of the old surface crust. Between 5,400’ and 5,700’ the old crust is variable but mostly breakable and not skier supportable. Above 5,700’ the crust is skier supportable but not boot supportable. We observed one very, very small pocket of wind deposited & stiffened snow along the Pickhandle Point ridgeline, otherwise no signs of instability in the new snow. The 10cm of recent new snow was consistent in depth and lack of hardness across all aspects and elevations once above the rain line. Average HS 140-150cm above 5,700’, except on South aspects (HS 55cm at 6,200’) and scoured ridgelines. We observed a thin layer of softer snow ~ 30-40cm below the surface, beneath the old surface crust, on W, N, & E aspects at the mid & upper elevations. In all areas observed this softer snow was moist to wet MF and presented no signs of instability.
