Quick report

Toured around skyline, Skiing the NW aspect on the other side of skyline lake was much better than expected. Most of the day was spent with significant cloud cover. The cloud ceiling dropped by the end of the day leading to rime forming on snow surfaces above 5000 ft. Active wind transport could be seen for most of the the day along ridgelines. Pit on a NW aspect @5200ft HS 115CM ECTX 13cm of new snow sitting on top of a breakable crust /decomposing particle (stellars)/ breakble crust sandwich(102 to 95 cm). New snow seemed well bonded. to the top crust layer. Did not see any preserved surface hoar in this pit, or in any of the several hand pits I dug throughout the day. I'll be curious to see if the upcoming storm produces enough water to to cause failure on that crust weak snow interface at the top of the pack.
