Quick report
- Collapsing
- widespread
Majority of collapsing was either in the valley bottom where spx was supported by willows, or on ridgetop in wind loaded areas - not necessarily directly weak layer related. 1 pit, E facing at 7,800', 20° slope, HS 70cm ECTP 22 down 50cm on FC. Bottom of snowpack was more complex than I had expected. Variety of wet FC, crusts, and dry FC under the new snow. Warm today, slopes with direct sun took heat. Started crusting up as clouds came over in the afternoon.
