Quick report
- Collapsing
- widespread
Measured up to 40cm of new snow in places, 2/29 snow denser and snow overnight into early morning was nice and fluffy. Widespread collapsing as I set the skin-track up, so much so to the point where I lost count (30+ easily). Evidence of wind loading on exposed N/NE slopes or near the top of ridgelines. Plan was to keep it mellow today and the snowpack was certainly "vocal" in supporting the plan, rode slopes under 30 and gave wide berth to cornices or areas with obvious wind-loading. I was able to set off a few mini slides by intentionally triggering the cornice/wind slab at the top of the bowl (see video).
