Quick report

A recent storm interface 30 cm down appeared in shovel tilt tests. We found 45 cm of storm snow above a recent crust. We had one sudden planar result on this crust (CTH SP @ 63cm) , but no results in an extended column test. We dug a pit at 4500' on a NW aspect. Snow height here was 180 cm. Some areas were greater than 3 meters. Storm snow interface 30 cm down and ~45cm to the crust first crust. Moist surface snow produced small pinwheels on steep features.

Weather

Light to Moderate winds from the SW with light moist precip in the morning turning to heavy moist snowfall in the afternoon.
