Quick report

Enjoyed a day of getting to know a familiar area a little bit better. All the lumps, stumps, and little trees are still visible, even saw some bare ground in the holes behind the bigger stumps down low. The snow quality skied better than expected. Down low there was powder above a mostly supportable crust with frozen but previously saturated snow below. As we climbed up towards the cliff band the amount of powder increased and the crust became more supportable leading to some surprisingly good skiing. The weather was mostly overcast, cool, with light winds but not much snow transport observed. No signs of instability encountered. Keep your tips up!
