Small soft windslabs were buried by 12/30 convergence zone accumulation at/above treeline on S/SW slopes, with what are typically windward aspects loading throughout the day due to easterly flow. Lots of snow for transport as wind direction shifts overnight with an approaching low. While these slabs were soft and poorly cohesive today in numerous hand pits as we gained elevation, multiple interfaces exist among these soft slabs from the past two days. Cross loading resulted in reactive test slopes above 5500ft
