Quick report

Went up Commonwealth Basin to the bottom of Lundin. Rain at pass, transition to snow between 3500-4000'. 3" heavy, wet snow in open areas at 4500'. The underlying snow was supportable to skis but still wet and a pole grip plunged 2' pretty easily (clearly had not refrozen). The new snow has not bonded well to the underlying surface and on small 35+ degree slopes it was easy to push a ski's width of snow to slide on the old surface. From there it did not propagate outwards or keep sliding though. No new avalanche activity observed but plenty of wet slides debris from the past week. 4500 to 4000' actually skied (surfed?) ok.
