Quick report
Crevasse, coverage and conditions report. During tours (Mon bluebird 10-7 crossing WRG via 600’ descent from 8.2K’ to highpoint 10.2K’ under Wy’east face & Tues filtered sun & moderate w-winds 730-6 crossing WRG via 100’ descent from 7.7K’ to 10850’ highpoint above Newton Clark Headwall), only noted instability or avalanche were couple old D1 loose wet in WRG. Will mainly let pics speak for themselves for beta seekers, but highlighting 1) crevasse opening locations since often hard to see from above, 2) better freeze then expected Mon night had more trouble thawing on windy, filtered-sun day above 7.5K’ despite warmer day per similar up/down routes, 3) melted-out windward side of moraines causing dirty, suncup-like snow on proximate leesides and 4) while ski virtually all way to Govy via Alpine and Glade (Blossom) still possible, getting thin and obstacle-hazardous down low.
