We completed the chair peak circumnavigation today and found generally stable conditions. Ridgelines and saddles had notable cornices, and we observed a couple of recent d1 wind slab crowns. We found isolated pockets of wind slab near ridgelines, though it was largely unreactive. We chatted with a party who skied cache and found it quite stable. Just above Melakwa pass we experienced collapsing within the snowpack. Very steep north aspects were sluffing enough to knock a skier down if poorly managed. Western slopes of chair near Melakwa had a combination of wind and sun effect that resulted in lower snow quality than other areas.

Roosevelt had a d1 crown above cliffy terrain that appeared to have naturally released.
