Quick report
Up here to teach a class at Heather Meadows, so very little Backcountry Travel was done. Significant warming by 11 with wet snow on sunny slopes and a zipper crust in shady slopes from yesterday’s warming. Ski tracks look good though.
Avalanche
D1 R2.5 skier triggered slab in heart shaped box (between blueberry chute and the prow). Estimated 5”deep 40ft wide, ran about 400 feet. Amply wet loose on Herman as well. Avalanche debris on the white salmon Glacier running down the common skin track. That crown could not be seen as it is out of sight near the top of the White Salmon.
