Quick report
New snow was light and fluffy with accumulation increasing from a few inches to almost a foot in sheltered areas throughout the day. New snow felt unconsolidated at most aspects in the middle elevation band. Hand shear tests failed stubbornly below the new snow interface (at 1/16 or 1/8) and larger grains were observed. We managed to trigger one storm slab <D1 below a ski-cut on an isolated rollover above an very firm wind layer at ~38 degrees. otherwise no activity observed. Storm slab consolidated throughout the day as the precipitation became wetter.
