Deep snow, sun out on area for awhile, moderately aggressive traveling. Didn't know stability conditions but do now I contributed to slab failing by my deep footpath cutting it out, not to mention all other warning signs which I'm now more aware of

2 -3 ft deep with groomed run-like layer left below, soft but solid layer
Avalanche
Stay right on 3,500ft route up the mountain, deep snow, should've known better but I was swept away by 2ft. slab avalanche immediately below col at top. Embarrassing to mention but it's amazing I'm alive and people should know what I didn't-avy conditions. I will never climb in such conditions again. From traversing sideways, from right to left, at top toward col, I was cutting a line in unstable snow. Once below the col, I heard a whoosh of wind and a second later I looked down and the entire ground separated and slid backward. I knew I was dead and my life literally flashed before my eyes. I tried swimming and lost control. Next thing I knew I was left on the slope and the debris was all down 100 ft down the mountain on a flatter spot. I was swept 30 feet sideways to the right and left 60 feet down the hill. I have pictures and video but can't seem to post them here. I'm shookin up and upset. Taking an avalanche course next season. Lucky as f, I believe in God now.
