In general, the snowpack is thin in the Stuart Range. That said, there's still plenty of goods out there for skiers. North facing couloirs were quite wallow-y the entire weekend. Ascent plates were very necessary. Most couloirs are 'in' but thinner than normal. Steep couloirs on Argonaut, Sherpa, and Dragontail all 'go', but if they historically have pinch points or ice those pinch points/ice are much more evident this year. In general, the snowpack in the Stuart Range appears spring-like. Did not dig a pit or perform any formal snowpack tests/measurements. Evidence of loose wet activity on south aspects was pretty widespread. Northern elevations below 5k' were very wet and had a zipper crust in the morning which would soften by afternoon. Northern aspects above 5-6k' were still dry and mostly soft, with occasional windboard. Isolated cracking in certain areas ATL but was not wind-slabby, more wind-boardy. Skied multiple steep north facing aspects and did not trigger any slides/slabs. Dry loose sluffs ran quickly and required care when skiing.
