Up the littlest of the joes today, with hopes of glassing some naturals from the summit ridge. For new snow, I found 3-4" at the TH, 12" at the summer TH and about two feet up high. On the upper mountain I was hearing and feeling a lot of whumpfing and had some collapsing in a few spots, and the wind had firmed up the snow surface on the slopes nearest to the ridge. I spotted a handful of natural avalanches throughout Bass and Kootenai creeks from my high point, and enjoyed some slow motion cold powder back to the valley floor, it was a bit scratchy below the summer TH.al

From my vantage on Lil Jo looking South and West at East and North facing terrain I saw quite a few crowns of natural avalanches that went sometime this past week on terrain from Big Jo to Bass Peak and over to the Heavenly Twins and back toward Lappi point. It all looks like terrain that got wind loaded during the big storm this last week.
