Quick report
Toured up crystal Sunday morning. Weather was fairly warm (car thermometer said 32 degrees at the pullout ~ 8:30, am) and snowing hard. Dug a pit at 6200 ft a northeast aspect. There was about a 5 inch deep storm slab that was very reactive. Extended column test fractured and propagated from just setting my shovel on top of the column. Opted to stick to low angle terrain.
Avalanche
Triggered a small avalanche on a test slope above a road cut
