Hard crust on most of area travelled. It softened up a little in sun exposed slopes but remained a hard crust on most slopes.

Avalanche below cornice on North facing slope east of Sweeney Peak. Forecaster note - this avalanche was previously reported on January 11th, and is suspected to have occurred on January 9th.
