Overcast with enough breaks in the cloud to glass the upper ridgelines of the Bitterroot. Very warm temperatures and moderate to strong valley winds.
Snowpack
At LT pass I got out and dug a few hand pits between the pass and Chief Joseph trailhead. The snow is saturated with water to the ground on all aspects. Natural activity likely peaked when the basal facets initially became saturated with water, and since then, avalanche activity has decreased.
