Noticed widespread collapsing and whumphing throughout the day. Cracking appeared to be isolated. The persistent weak layer 45-60 cm up from ground appeared to be the consistent failure plane. Collapsing noticed throughout day. Collapsing resulted in release of a small cornice approximately 50 feet away.

Pits dug on SW and SE slopes between 8160 and 8180 elevation. SW pit results: CT 13/ RP / 50 cm up from ground. ECTP 22 / 45 cm up from ground. SE pit results: CT 11 / SP / 58 cm up from ground. ECTV
