Quick Observation
We observed localized shooting cracks around our skis while breaking trail and skiing and could trigger small predictable storm slabs on test slopes. The slabs were breaking on a 3cm thick layer of well-developed facets above the Feb 3 crust and seemed most sensitive above 1600m in elevation (where the facets became more pronounced).
Avalanche Information
At 3pm we heard a large avalanche running from above and have to assume it was a natural (nobody else around) as well as a persistent slab given the size of the sound. This came after approximately an hour of intensified precipitation rates and generally warming temperatures (still below or at freezing). Unsure of specifics due to limited (no) visibility.
