Sledded up to Sleeping Beauty area for one lap. Freezing level about 700m. Parked at about 800m and toured up on a hard supportive crust with 1-5cm of new snow. Snowing 1-2cm/hr, with poor visibility and winds low to moderate. At our high point of 1150m near treeline we encountered small pockets of 3cm-thick wind slab in specific terrain features. Snow was max 10-15 cm deep in some pockets. Suspect wind slab to become thicker with continued snow and wind. We skied mostly low-angle terrain with a few steeper features up to 35°. During our run we were often hitting the crust. No signs of any avalanche activity, but poor visibility at treeline prevented any alpine observations.
