Joffre Shoulder

Low of -5C @1900m. Temperature was +3 at the parking lot at 1400h, snow was only affected by temperature rise at bottom of our route. Snow surface was variable, some good powder, some heavy wind affect.

Low wind and drift at our snow pit about 50m below ridgeline on ENE aspect. Observed intense winddrift coming down cliffs 500m away. Ridge top winds were moderate, gusting strong. Observed winds ranging from westerly to southerly.

ECT no results. No weak layers or instabilities observed. Top 15cm was light and uncohesive.
