Black Prince Powda

Great day at Black Prince. Did one run down the E chutes and one down the SE drainage/slide path. Snow was a little slabby in some spots up top. Trees were quite skied but had some good pockets here and there. Overall the powder was great. Dug a hand pit on about a 35°, E aspect, alpine slope and found a 5cm Windslab, and the storm snow 30cms down from that. Both sheared fairly easily from the old snow. Heard loud large avalanches all day in the area along the headwall but couldn’t see them from the clouds. Large crowns visible in morning on E/SE/S aspects.
