Cold and calm conditions on Glory. Periods of sun but mostly cloudy. South faces were staying cool.
Snowpack
Dug a pit at 9,400’ on an E facing slope below a cliff band. Here, ~35 cm of fist to four finger hard snow is sitting on 2-3cms of graupel that pooled below the cliff band. No near surface facets were found here. 50cm down there is a thin layer of ~0.5 mm faceted grains. This layer is softer than the 1 finger slab sitting above. No propagation was observed at either interface.
A 2-3mm thick rain crust exists on all aspects below 9,000’ and is buried about 30-40cm below the surface on east - north. This crust is closer to the surface on wind scoured south faces.
