Quick report
We noted no bullseye data on East and Northeast aspects. The snow was untouched by the forces of evil (wind) but the mark of the good (snow) was easily observed in the form of 5-10” of fresh, unconsolidated hero snow. West aspects held the FR crust from earlier this week beneath a less impressive amount of fresh snow. The wind had worked its magic on ridge lines and there were some very touchy slabs easily triggered by ski cuts on short rollovers on West facing terrain. The snow there beared the mark of a tantrum-throwing oligarch who refuses to let anyone have any fun if he can’t get his way. Today’s tour was the reminder we needed that the rebellion (er, I mean winter) is alive and well if you know where to look for it.
