Traveled from 7,000’ to 9,000’. Skied on the south half of the compass. Few new snow instabilities were observed. Wind affected snow could be found along exposed ridges but the majority of terrain held unconsolidated new snow with little slab present.
Dug on a wind loaded NE facing slope at 9,100’. Here the 2/6 interface was found down 65cm from the surface. No propagation was observed in our tests. Here, 15cm of four finger snow and 40cm of fist hard snow lie above the 2/6 interface.
