Skiing east faces today. We had a large collapse with the 5th skier on the slope, 8.8k NE. The slope didn’t move, likely too shallow, but over 28°. Rain crust to 8.8k (as high as we went). It was more pronounced later in the day as the temps cooled off. We dug a snow pit at 8,200’ NE ~11am. HS 210cm ECTN 7 down 25cm (grappel) ECTP 23 down 85cm (January Drought surface hoar) Slope angle 33° We skied the slope.
