Quick report
-I travelled on open slopes from lower to mid elevations (7000' to 8900') at Sawmill Ridge on E to N aspects during the warmest hours of the day. Snow surfaces varied from changes in aspect but turns produced no roller balls or loose-wet activity at this location. -From 7000 to 7400' snow was mostly unsupportable and thin, more brush than snow in the flats. At around 7600' snow became supportable and consistent on E and N aspects. There is minimal or no snow on S aspects at this location. From 7600 to 8000' on an E aspect, snow was supportable and had a true corn feel. Above 8,000 to 8900' on a NE aspect, the surface of the snow had a 3D texture that had softened during the midday hours. By 230PM the surface of these slopes had begun to crisp up and start to refreeze again. I poked around on a closer to true north aspect at around 8600' and found firm crusty snow.
