Quick report

Mostly cloudy mid to low 20 degree day. Dug two pits at noon on the ridge up Hatch peak directly east of Summit Lake. On the west side of the ridge (290° aspect, 24° slope, 4,200ft elevation) total snow depth was 290cm, test results yielded CTN and ECTX. Buried wind layers in the snowpack were observable. On the north/east side of the ridge (0° aspect, 30° slope, 4,200ft elevation) the total snow depth was 90cm and test results yielded ECTN7 breaking a wind layer in the upper snowpack. Tried to test facets near ground with no result in PST.
