Quick report

Went up to the PC Ridgeline to see how much the snow was faceting on northerly slopes. On the approach I found SH on northerly slopes at 8743' that was 6-7mm in some spots (see photo 1). The sun had heated up the surface snow on the sunny aspects which caused glopping when I skinned through shadows. Dug a pit at 9358' N on a 22 degree slope (see photo 2). It appeared that the entire snowpack was faceting (see photo 3). Conditions seem generally safe, but things will get exciting once we get a fresh load later in December.
