Quick report

Walked up Bowman Fork today. Was planning on Depth Hoar Bowl but it didn't seem high enough and too E for dry snow, continued on to the Cabin Shot on Gobblers. Clouds were gathering as we walk up and as per usual got completely socked in for the ski down. Intense snowfall on the high ridge line gave way to wet and slow travel at lower elevations. We exited out Baker Springs gully which was moist snow on top of dry snow, super slow and sticky. Only activity today was wet point releases and roller balls down lower in the drainage. Didn't really see any faceted snow up high and I think the new snow will bond well to the underlying surface.

photos: roller balls at 9400ft, storm rolling in, and some manky skiing under 9500ft

Snowpack

Damp snow up to 9300ft on all aspects, dry snow on the N end of the compass above that but the new snow falling was wet.
