Snowpack
I got an aerial view of the Wasatch from about 10.5k and was disappointed in seeing a lot of snow lingering on many north facing slopes above 9000ft. From what I could guess, seems to be about 6+ inches above 9000ft and tapering off to nothing below about 8500ft. Hopefully that doesn’t turn into a problematic layer. I’ll be wary about all high N facing aspects till at least the end of January, unless I see it melt off before the first real snowfalls of the season.
Specifically, I saw a good 6 inches of snow just sitting in the shade on all of the coalpit head wall, lone peak N face, and pretty much all of broads fork (just to name a few).
