This was a northeast facing drainage, but the avalanche occurred on the east facing sidewall. It occurred yesterday from the looks of it and contained evergreen boughs and saplings within the debris.
Mainly of note was that 12:30pm was too warm for safe travel on most terrain and aspects today, at our elevation at least. We started to experience large roller balls and sticky mashed potatoes at this point, even in the gut of our northerly drainage.
