Skier from an adjacent group was caught and carried in a wind slab D1.5-D2/R2 avalanche and sustained no injuries (see attached Avalanche Event for more info). Serious day in the mountains with lots of Red Flag Avalanche Conditions even though it is May.  Saw another avalanche off Chicken Scratch on the NE Ridge of Glory on a similiar N/NE aspect above 9300' on cross loaded terrain feature after the incident (trigger unknown, but old tracks visible above possibly from yesterday). Also experienced one collapse on an obvious wind drift and cracking on specific wind loaded terrain. W/NW winds were strong in the morning averaging over 40mph with gusts above 60 mph slowly tapering off during the day. Over 12" reported in last 24 hours at numerous weather stations. Lots of snow available for transport creating a lot of signs of instability on wind loaded features, especially cross loaded terrain. Cold temperatures will continue resulting in wind slabs remaining sensitive in upper elevations tomorrow. 

Slight warming of snow surfaces as skies cleared periodically around 15:00 with roller balls and pinwheels on slopes sheltered from the wind. Cloud cover became scattered-broken by 17:00. Snow surfaces will likely heat up tomorrow with mostly sunny skies forecasted destabilizing all the recent snow. Watch for elevated avalanche danger again tomorrow as snow could behave as dry or wet snow avalanches based on weather and time of day.

One skier caught and carried and sustained no injuries. Numerous tracks on adjacent lower angle slopes (still above 30 deg). Slight change in aspect and steeper slope where the avalanche occured. Wind slab pulled out below a cliff band on a cross loaded 35-37 deg slope. Top avalanche synpathetically triggering lower slab. Avalanche occured while skies were still overcast.
