Some small remote collapses near ridge and on steeper headwall slopes. Wind effect on all the most frequently skied aspects of Troy.

Snowpack
10 - 12+ inches of new low density snow sitting on a sturdy crust. Surface varies from undisturbed low density snow to wind slabs of varied thickness. Windloading is widespread and slabs are very touchy.

Widespread, active windloading (major wind transport, widespread shooting cracks, thin slab failures on multiple slopes). Skied adjacent slope and triggered a small, shallow wind pocket (~3" thick). Ski cut a noticeable, isolated wind pocket above the face and it cracked ~ 3" thick. Assumed that thin layer would be present on the steeper face. With a partner lookout above, skier 1 cut under the primary rock band on steeper face and triggered most of the face slid ~ 6-8" deep. Triggered at feet. Skier 1 skied the bed surface. As soon as skier 1 skied off the bed surface, a second slide, a little deeper failed a little above and knocked skier 1 off feet - carried about 10 ft. Arrested on bed surface and skied out on the debris. Skier 2 skied slightly less windloaded slope adjacent to slide path. Nothing slid.
