Quick report
Observed no signs of instability on non-wind affected steep North-facing slopes between 6400' and 5600'. Turns on 35-40 degree pitches produced no sloughing or cracking. Observed surface hoar up to 5mm in size in mid-elevation basins. Found a breakable 2cm sun crust on steep southerly aspects and a much thinner sun crust on steep Westerly aspects. Loose snow sloughing, whether dry or wet was minimal on Big Slide. Some drifts and mini-cornices were on the ridgetop from the recent NE wind event. Observed no signs of instability except for limited loose snow sloughs on Big Slide.
