Quick report
Dropped into Canyon Cr from Flower Point just after noon hoping that things hadn’t quite warmed up too much. We found 20cm of new snow atop a light crust capping the previous snow. This crust dissipated by the time we were on the Canyon Cr floor. However, it was plenty of a bed surface, and once the angle reached the mid 30s, both of us found the increasingly heavy snow breaking at our feet and running. Another skier we saw mentioned the same thing. Winds were light, sky generally overcast with patches of sun, and precip was limited during our quick lap. Temps were above freezing. We headed back to the resort to go witness the loose wet problem that was the pond skim.
