Quick report
=Fridays wind had an up canyon component. Northerly aspects off the ridge lines had obvious (visual) wind effected surface snow. Some soft slabs had developed along spur ridges. Ski quality was fair. =South and easterly aspects were in the lee and saw little is no wind effect. Ski quality was good. =5cms of new snow now buries the decomposing rime crust. The crust below that, 10cm, is also breaking down. Neither effected skiing. =There was no crust from the sun earlier in the week. =Temps were in the mid to high 20's all day. Low 30's back at the car though. Wind was calm, however the further you climbed up the ridge the wind became light, from the west. Cloudy all day with a trace of new snow.
