Dug pit at 6300’. East aspect. Snow depth- 285 cm. Rain crust layer noted at 205. Snow above crust seemed nicely consolidated with consistent hardness. No reaction with column test. While traveling no obvious instability. Good 8+ inches new feeling snow up high. Cloudy weather, minimal precip, low wind.
