Quick report
Easy come, easy go! Toured and skied in the southern front range on Sunday 3/16 and again on Tuesday, 3/18. Sunday: 6-8" of low density snow on supportable crust. Winds were calm, skies obscured and snowing ~1cm/ hr. No formal stability tests. Tuesday: Winds picked up on Monday night through Tuesday. We were greeted by 40+ mph easterly gusts by Tuesday afternoon. Wind slabs were actively forming. No formal stability tests. Any cracking was very localized around our skis and generally unreactive at our location.
