Thin snowpack through the trees on Mt. Eva. There were signs of wind-effected snow where trees were more spread out. In the alpine, there was a 35-40 cm layer of powdery snow on top of firm snow, penetrable with a pencil tip. South and west faces had sun crusts, and snow was wind effected throughout the alpine zone. depth at 1900 feet was 215 cm. Snow showed little to no signs of instability, but riding quality was highly variable.
