Quick report

After digging a hasty pit. The storm slab/wind slab was approx 10 cm down, but manageable and did not propitiate. However, a truly knarly ice layer with facets below was observed at 80 cm. This same layer failed all the way across on the ECT (extended column test) on #5 on the elbow. The layer also failed the Rutschblock test. The layer was advised us to ski softly/fast and stick to the trees.
