Hollowtop North Side

Quick report

Summited Hollowtop via the north face this morning. Was walking until I found the snowpack at 8600 ft. From there, snowpack seemed generally stable with frozen over roller balls from the previous warm days. The north aspect had a slight freeze over night, but not supportable enough for a skier. Below the crust, there were 4-5 inches of soft snow before a hard thermo snowpack. Above 9k, there were a couple inches of snow that fell during last nights rain. There was minimal snow transport but no wind slab activity was observed and a few ski cuts backed this up, I am guessing the few inches of dense snow that fell was too heavy to transport as the sun started to effect the surface. Wind was really starting to crank around 11am, I would guess sustained 30mph with gusts over 40. Did not notice any other activity in the range aside point and releases on solar aspects. Surprisingly very pleasant skiing!
