Wet snow conditions with roller balls visible. None noted while traveling, other than visible roller balls and signs of wet sluff across Canyon Creek in Scook (sic) chutes.

Warm temperatures, partly cloudy. Morning had light breeze and gusts which seemed to stop by around 10:30.
Snowpack
We dug a snow pit just onto the north aspect of the sub ridge SE of the beaver pond as part of our Avy 1 class. We had fist soft snow down 18-20 CM to the most recent surface layer, which was 4F. Snow depth indicated some slight north aspect wind loading based on recent snow on other aspects. -There were snow pack changes at approx. 17-18.5 cm (4F) , change to 1F at 49cm, P at 76cm, P+ at 86cm, a softer layer 98-125cm (P), a very hard K layer at 125. around 128 there was a very deteriorated weak layer around 5-10cm thick.- ECT N11@20cm. CTM 11 RPQ2@20cm down. No propagation noted during tests. We were able to break loose the new snow layer on top of the pit by doing a crude Rutschblock test, but it was very resistant to sliding at the mild slope angle (around 24 degrees).
