Entered the floor of the ravine around 14:00. Experienced low visibility as well as moderately strong and sustained winds. Found pockets of recent wind drifted snow near the bottom of the apron with over the top of the boot penetration in spots. Hand sheers failed upon isolation in two locations. Hand hardness test showed an upside down nature within the new snow with 10-15cm of 1F on top of 25cm of fist hard snow. Overall new snow depth in pit was around 35 cm on top of old avalanche debris.
