I was up skiing in White Pine solo today. Had a great first run on the Tri Chutes then went back up to ski Birthday Chutes. I dropped into the second chute over (down the ridge to the north). About 10 turns in, I clipped a rock and tumbled, came to stop, and then a wall of snow hit me and carried me down probably 50-75 feet or so. I must've triggered a soft slab in the upper chute. Definitely a scary ride. It ran the full length of the chute, probably 200-300 ft. I called the slide in to Alta Central, miraculously found all my gear in the debris, and then skied out on my own accord. Super thankful to not be injured or worse.
