had a quick tour up the buller chutes today, on approach we noticed half a cornice had released a size 2.5 that snapped and swipped many trees and ran full slope almost to the road. on the ride down i managed to trigger a very small isolated wind slab that was about 10-15cm depth and roughly 8-12M across running 40M into a terrain trap, the small isolated pocket was on a thin snow pack and looked like it ran off SH layer near ground. variable skiing from good snow to thin snow and or dense thick windslab.
