Quick Observation

Realy great conditions on N'ish aspects along 93S. Around 2,500m, it was knee deep with face shots galore. That being said, if you're thinking of doing Vermillion, think again - it looked like a ski resort this afternoon. Loose dry's were top of mind today given the forecast and they were quite reactive. Any steeper line we rode (35-40') easily entrained 30cm+ over the prior interface. The sluff had quite a bit of mass, but was slow so manageable. Minimal wind affect in the alpine. Of note though, I punched through a facet hole (with skis on) on a ridge at 2,500m and had to climb out of my 2m deep hole - something to keep in mind. A day that was definitely comparable to some of our best days at Roger's Pass.
