time: 10:48am/ Aspect: Ne/ elev: 1984/ Sky: broken/ winds: L sw temp: -8.4c/ HS: 120cm/ angle: 15d 120-75cm f-1f 75-55 P 55-20 4f 20-10 mfcr K 10-g Dh?(Striaghted facets) CTH 25 SC down 65 on slab facet interface. large difference in density change and crystal size present at this layer. when the slab failed, it basically pulled all the un cohesive snow above the 10cm thick mfcr with it. anything above tree line is wind blasted and hard pressed. good snow to be found in trees lower down. evidence of a very large avalanche cycle from during or just after the last storm. size 1-3.5 through out the area and the park way on the drive in and out. most look to have slid very close to ground.
