We took advantage of our current (and rare these days) low elevation snow line for a tour up Mt Adder Mountain on a beautiful sunny New Year’s Day.
Travel up the drainage in the old growth was decent, it was mashed potatoes until we got out of the canopy up high. At treeline and above, a 2 cm breakable crust is widespread on the surface. Ski quality was ok(ish). We did not see any signs of instability.
